Day 13 Glencoe, Oban, Inveraray
Have loved having the car for 4 days, driving wherever we want. Headed out to the most gorgeous town called Glencoe. Like an old fashioned little village surrounded by mountains and the Loch Linnhe. Took the Argyll Coast Road and stopped for lunch in Oban. This is quite a big ‘seaside’ town and many of the big car ferries to the Isles stop here. Indulged for lunch and bought fresh oysters (which they shucked for us....yum) and fresh salmon and prawn sandwiches. Continued along the coast for our final stop today at Inveraray and had a quick look at Inveraray Castle. Lots of driving today and fantastic scenery.
Fly out of Glasgow tomorrow night back to London and then early the next day to Paris...watching Sky news about the threat of terrorist action over the next few days in Paris. Warnings all over the news...just our luck...hope Eiffel Tower not evacuated whilst we up there....already evacuated twice in last few weeks.
